Did anyone catch the show last night? The finally was nothing short of incredible.
Flintlock to webley, colt, ending with grenade launcher and a very close match.

I would have rather seen Gary and Augie in the final showdown but they didn't make their shots. I couldn't stand Greg the while season and I'm really glad that Chris near him in the end.

That was the best Top Shot ever, no drama.

They had a lot of events through out the season I would have loved to try.

Last night was a great final.

I'm way behind on the show since I don't have cable. I started watching it from the first show just last night on Netflix.
I though it was really cool when they did the shooting while in the zipline for the elimination. Looks really difficult.

The greatest thing about the show is that my wife was watching it with me and she was totally getting into it. She was talking about getting more stuff for guns and shooting after she has the baby and she can actually go.

I get more stuff!!!! Wohoooo!!!! :D

Yesterday I stayed home with a bum ankle and ended up watching about the last half of this season since the History channel was running a marathon. That was quit a final, with the lead switching several times. My favorite shot however was the one where they shot two stacked gallon cans full of water. They hit the bottom one first and as the hydraulic force launched the top can, they shot it in the air.

I watched it, and thought it was quite the finale. I really enjoy the "call your shots shooting gallery," but they were having a devil of a time of it last night. Of the final four, I was initially pulling for Augie, but when that didn't work out for him, I had to root for Chris (was that the name of the guy that won?). Good show last night.

It was definitely the best Top Shot ever. Wife and I were glued to the tube and actually cheered out loud when Chris won. Great bunch of contestants and all pretty classy guys.

It was really great. I wondered what Clint Smith thought as I remember a column of his denouncing compter geeks who are into guns. Lots of IT in classes around here near Austin.

Did anybody else think there was something amiss during the shooting tree competition? At times it looked to me like the tree wasn't calibrated properly. When Gary (I think) was shooting, several times it looked like he scored hits and the plate bounced to the other side and rebounded back immediately, robbing him of a hit. He ended up barely winning and being safe anyway, but it sure looked like something was wrong with the equipment and he should have won easily.

Anybody else notice this or was I just seeing things?

Great finale. Chris had been pretty consistent all through the competition, I was glad he won. It as apropos that Greg was yet again slow on the trigger in the last event and thus lost out. I was amazed he made it to #2 after stalling on the trigger so many times.

I thought Gabby would have made it much further but that long range .50 BMG shoot did her in. The first two eliminated in the first show were also "pistol only" world class champions. Looks like if you go on Top Shot you better be pretty good with both handgun and rifle.

I liked the eliminate between Auggie and Kyle where they had to memorize objects and then shoot them from a large array of objects. I though Kyle was going to get it even if he only remembered 7 or 8 of them. Auggie took the risk of drilling on on only the first five and then hoping to have time to back for a couple more. Interesting strategy and results.

It was nice that there was much less gaming and drama this season. Still some but most of the nominations were performance based. I'd like to see them just go to automatic elimination challenges based on performance and get rid of the nomination shoots.

Being an older guy I was kind of rooting for Kyle, but being in IT myself, I was OK with Chris winning. :D

I agree with most of the posts, this was a very good final. It would be nice if the during whole competition the competitors were eliminated solely based on performance and do away with stupid nomination aspect of the show. It is way too much like Survivor.

I agree with JustAnotherJim concerning the shooting tree...>

It did look like they had some issues in running that one. I'm pretty sure I saw at least one of the targets hit bounce back, and I'm just about certain one got caught behind the tree as there was no target visible on either side at one station at one point. It reappeared in the next shot. I'm guessing they stopped to reset things as necessary and edited around the issues as best they could.

It was an enjoyable finale, but not as enjoyable as seeing the blowhard William getting eliminated on the last shot in an earlier episode.

I really liked the finale too. Great challenges and Chris was definitely my pick to win once Gabby and Chee were eliminated. I wanted Chee to win because every time he didn't get to shoot, he was visibly disappointed in the lost opportunity, even if it was an elimination challenge.

As for the dueling trees, I think they were having issues too, but I don't think they stopped the competitions because of them. In the shot where one of the targets got stuck, I think it swung around to an exposed position from the recoil of the next target being hit. Kind of sloppy, but hard to tell if things would've been any different had they worked flawlessly.
