Can anyone here provide me with the names and addresses of some of the top riflesmiths in the country? I am looking for riflesmiths qualified to work on Remington 700's. Thanks in advance.

Go to Benchrest and check out those links. Personally I've tried Tooley, but I believe that they are all great. One thing for sure: they do great work, take a while (mine took ~6 months), and won't be a "bargin smith".
 
I second those - Speedy's a great guy, as is Dorsey. These guys are PARTICULAR about what they're doing. Particular = accuracy. Just about anyone who has the 'nads to advertise on Benchrest.com will be good. You also MAY want to check out Col. Billy Stevens - he's on the page.

And don't discount purchase of a custom action. Rampros are only about $500, and you can get a Stiller Viper for around $850, including rings...
