(Just like the revolver one):)
Suppose a rich person decided to give you whatever you wanted to purchase a top of the line autoloading pistol. What would you get? I have also heard nothing but good things about Wilson Combat 1911s:cool:

If you had carte blanche and you wanted a 1911, forget Wilson and get one custom made. You can spend as much as you want.

Productionwise, it's gotta be a Sig 210. Then again, a world-class olympics-ready target 22 pistol would be cool.

If we're talking money no object I'd probably call Larry Vickers and have him build me a 1911.

That and I'd try to get Hk to sell me a P7M7 (thats the .45 one ... there are only six of them).

George, don't you mean you want the .45 Luger, not one of the. IIRC there where only 2 and one was destroyed in the durability trials the army put it through.

But nice choice (I see you've trumped my P7M7 ;) )

I'd have any one of a half-dozen or so top notch custom shop guys build a 1911 to my specs for me. If pressed to make a decision pronto, I'd probably opt for Ed Brown like a few already have.

3 Strayer Voigt Inc. pistols- 1-Tiki-T, 2-Infinity Modified masterpieces

2-Sig 210-8

1 MD Labs fully customized 1911

If I had to pick only one, I'd pick up the MD Labs 1911, just cuz Mad Dog is a nice fella :D

Let's thow out some other pistols that are not always on the menu...

A Gyro-Jet pistol.
An HK PDW / MP7.
An HK P11.
Colt's wooden revolver.

Sure, your not going to be firing any of them... but talk about conversation pieces. Well, you could fire the HK PDW, you just wont be able to get any more ammo for it. (unless your someone special)

A DA BHP with shortened slide, match grade barrel, tuned trigger
and rounded edges complete with rosewood grips with finger grooves!

I would like a Colt 91A1 with the government Model roll marks. I have no idea what to do to customise it & turn it into a race gun. Other than extended mag catch/slide stop, Heine Slant Pro 8 night sights, & grips with finger groves. But if rich dude gave me a whole bunch of $$$. I would go to Gaston & say re-design the G-17 frame make the grip narrower, get rig of the backstrap area, make the grip rounder, & finger groves that fit my hand exactly. But still able to accept mags all ready in use. Make the grip like those gripper grips that Packmayer made, that I use to put on revolvers.
