Tools for sp101 trigger job

Hey all, I'm thinking of polishing the action on my sp101 and was wondering what others have used to polish the different parts. I know some people like fine oil stones, some use 1000/2000 grit sand paper and some use a polishing compound like mothers mag with a cloth or dremel. I'd rather not use any power tools so for those who have done this before, what would you recommend?

Brownells has a three part compound kit. Put it inside the gun pull the trigger a bunch of times, clean, move on to the next grit, repeat, and so on.

That's pretty cool I am going to have to check that out for the next revolver I purchase.

Trigger work is not rocket surgery, but you need to understand the difference of positive and negative sear angles, how to check for "push off". What happens if you go through the surface hardening.

Rent a few vids from Smartflix, lots to chose from. The Jerry Miculek vid is S&W specific but the technique can be used with any weapon.

It's nice to have a trigger block to assemble the trigger parts outside the frame.

Your finger might be all you need. Dry fire the hell out it before you do any trigger job on your Ruger. You might find that is all you really need to smooth the action out.
