Tool/scratch marks on S&W 460 PC?

I just picked up a new 460 XVR Performance Center model 7.5” and overall I’m happy with the gun but I noticed these little parallel marks on the barrel. Does anyone else with a Performance Center revolver have this?

If you don't like that you can send it back to S&W call them first of course.They will pay for the shipping.

They are quite minor however.

I just purchased a performance center, model 986, which has a similar barrel contour. It does not have those tooling marks. For what you probably paid for your revolver, I don't think those marks should be there. You can decide whether to live with it or ask S&W to fix it (and they may not agree). The down side of returning a gun is: the absence of the gun for a while, and the risk of theft during transit. If it were me, I would probably live with it. I'm careful with my firearms, but for me, a little bit of use would bring equivalent scratches and nicks.
