Took this Glock 19 on trade. What is it worth?

I'm trying to help finance a Dillon press. A few months ago I took this Gen 3 Glock 19 with a fde? Frame in on trade for a rifle I had. This came from a family member who bought it new. It has maybe 100 rounds through it if that..

I just have the two mags and loader. The box is lost somewhere.

I'm not a Glock guy but I don't want to get hosed when I try to sell it in the local trader or on Gunbroker. I usually don't do much gun selling but I really want to add to my savings to get a nice progressive press.

Any ideas? Thanks ahead of time.

You can buy a new Gen 3 G19 for around $500 or less (FDE or black) so used without the case, papers, etc. will be much less, maybe $100 less.

However, FDE doesn't turn up every day so if someone is really, really looking for FDE, who knows how much of a premium they'll pay. I think they look good, much better than the black frame and bought one when I saw a new one at my LGS (paid no premium).

There's no telling what anything is worth until someone actually reaches for their wallet.
We could start an auction and find out.
Who wants to go first?

Around here they are about a $400 gun used, I would have a hard time selling it because a G19 is such a sweet heart to shoot.

Black one

Not for sale but I figure my G 19 gen 4 is worth 400 with 2 mags. It's got a couple thousand through it, but still like new.
Mine has a very sweet trigger. I just can't think of a better CC piece, that's why I have one.

I did screw up today tho. I had to do an overnight trip and end up in Vancouver BC. I pack my Glock in my briefcase, always at my side.......yup I forgot to leave it at home.

The Canucks are not fond of high capacity, short barreled pistols. Made for a long day behind the wheel.

Sell it to TunnelRat, IMHO that's the most $ I think your 19 is worth. I was offered $275 for my Gen3 17 and I ran away from that deal;)

Sell it to TunnelRat

Sadly I've already got two, not sure what I'd do with a third. For that matter I like the older ones with the iron skillet looking finish. But around me at $425 it would sell. Used Glocks do well around me though. As long as they're in 9mm they usually don't sit for more than a week and a 19 not more than a few days. Not really sure why.

No such thing as "sadly" when it comes to a good G-19, it's the Swiss Army Knife of service / carry pistols. Not a big fan of FDE Glocks but that's strictly "MHO". OP would have to GunBroker that gun to an end-user buyer to get anywhere close to four & a quarter for his 19;)

Or a local sale depending of course on your laws. I'd point out that I said I'd pay $425 for it and that's what I think it would sell for around me ;), I didn't say the OP could undoubtedly get all of that (especially if he does it on trade or consignment to someone else).

A black G19 would sell for $425 FTF local in my area pretty quickly. At $400 it would fly. I'm not sure how FDE would affect that. It would be a negative for me, but I am sure some would prefer FDE.

The 19 is the highest demand of the glocks, list it for $450 and go down as low as you want, but there are enough people looking fo 19's especially without a paper trail and tax. $450 is doable and $400-$425 is likely.
