Thanks to all of you who reported their experiences with H & K's P7M8. Mine came in.
OH! IS THIS A SWEET GUN ! Sweet, sweet, sweet.
The trigger break is a surprise. I couldn't anticipate it. It's Smooth. It's everything you guys said it was, and more. The grip cocker is very easy and also smooth. The ambidextrous mag release is very easy to operate. And does it ever fire that mag out!
How did I shoot? Well, in spite of my hands shaking with the new gun, my groups for the 50 rounds shot at 11 yards were about one half normal size. Fly outs were fewer, too. That was real nice.
After 50 rounds, the gun was warm, but not much. This will not be a problem the way I shoot.
Size wise, it is not that much larger than my P-11. The width is about the same, the height is slightly more and the length about 3/4" longer. It is heavyer, but with a belly band, that should not be a problem. I can see I may get a belt holster for use in the winter under a coat. Will carry it this weekend in both of my belly bands to check it out.
I am spoiled. A co-worker asked it he can shoot it some time. I said "sure, but you don't want to, you'll want one, too." He's a Glock fan.
Again, thanks TFL for all the help.
