Too much thinking

If you get 2 MOA from a ML and want to use a red dot or lighted rec. and that say is a 3 or 5 moa what can you expect as far as accuracy goes? I just picked the 2 MOA out of the air. I haven't sighted my new Omega in yet and want to get some kind of scope.
 
Wow that post sounds awful. Must be tired. I will read the comments tommorow if anyone can figure out what I asked.
 
I think you asked whether a 3 moa dot can be used to shoot groups tighter than 3 moa? Sure. As long as you can center it on the target consistently. Consider, when you look at iron sights, that the front post on a patridge sight can be wider than the black of the bullseye but still be used to hit its center.
