I'm working with the 44 Mag. and thought I had a "peach" of a load with 240 JHP. I went out to re-fire this year and lost my accurate reload. All components are the same as before. Has anyone ever blown a load by crimping to hard? I hope so or I lost my touch!
If the crimp is the only thing you changed then maybe that is the cause. It is certainly possible, but usually a crimp that's too heavy will result in crumpled cases.
