Today I volunteered for Carla Howell, Libertarian for US Senate

OK Guys and Gals.

What we have here is a 100%, Bona Fide, Pro-Gun Candidate for US Senate from Massachusetts. She is currently holding 20% support in the polls. SHE CAN WIN!

Today, with a friend, i stamped and addressed 3500 postcards for Carla at her campaign office. And when this was done, we delivered 800 yard signs to three depot locations for people to pick them up (and i'm holding 100 yard signs at my house for immediate need in my area.) This was a Vacation Day as far as my boss is concerned, and i'm glad to have done it.

I was able to talk with Carla for a short time today, and guess what: she is every bit as much pro-2nd Amendment as All of us are. She realated a story to me about a college friend of her's that refused to support her campaign because of, "[her] utter support of the gun lobby." And she is not caving in a bit.

PEOPLE

WE NEED TO SUPPORT CARLA HOWELL. WE need to support her both with our money and our time.

I implore you, in your area, get in touch with your pro-gun candidates for public office. Volunteer some time to them, it is more valuable than your money. But if you cannot volunteer some time, then please, send them some cash. Write to your local news outlets and inform them of your desire to see your candidate in the news and in the polls.

For those of you in Massachusetts, (or New England) please, write the Boston Herald and tell them you are pissed off that they have not included Carla Howell in their Senate Race Polls. Call and write the Boston Globe (a/k/a "The NAMBLA News"), the Boston Herald, the Middlesex News, the T&G, the Cape Cod Times, the Berkshire Eagle; tell them to included Carla Howell's Open Letter to Teddy Kennedy in their news paper.

DEMAND TO BE HEARD!!!

WE CAN WIN THIS ONE!!!

We may tolerate the abridgement of property rights and the elimination of a right to bear arms; but we should not pretend that these are not reductions of rights." -- Justice Scalia 1998

Way to go USP45!! I contributed to Carla's campaign about a month ago. She's most definitely a class act and the poster Gal for the Libertarian Party. She deserves all of our support. This is one of the most visible campaigns going on this year.

I'm going Bush for Prez and GOP for my state seats and US Rep - all GREAT 2nd folks, but I'm going with Gail Lighfoot, Libertarian, for CA senate against Fienstien (D) and Tom Campbell(R). Campbell got HCI Legislator of the year.

No way no how is he getting my vote.

Excellent USP! As soon as I heard about Carla, about 8 weeks ago, I sent her a quick $50. I plan to donate some more very soon.

I will dance nekkid in the street if she wins.

USP45,

I had recently decided that I was going to vote Libertarian this time, at least in the Mass Senate race. I will be contributing to her campaign although I really do not think that she has much of a chance against the Kennedy machine. How many times have the brainless masses of this state returned him to the Seante already?

One thing that I think will hurt her is her stand on drugs. Howie Carr pressed her on this recently and I think it could hurt her with a lot of the conservatives who need to be convinced to vote for her.

All we can do is contribute, campaign, and hope.

I would have said she could win... Right up to the point where they decided to waive the ballot access rules, and let the Republican run anyway, despite the fact that he didn't actually qualify for the ballot. The limited number of votes available against Kennedy will be divided, and Kennedy will win. I take no joy in this prediction, but I've worked on too many Libertarian campaigns, the mindless optimism has all been burnt out of me.

The nobody loser the Republicans put up should drop out of the race, if he's got the slightest decency, but he won't; The Republicans would rather see a Democrat elected than a Libertarian, because the latter threatens their sole remaining defense against being reduced to third party status: "A vote for anyone else is wasted!"

Thanks for the links, Oatka "KOAM"! (King of all Media!)

As for the Useless Republican, Robinson, he has zero funds. None. $0.00 to spend for his campaign. I hope that he'll get the picture and drop out, and soon.

Keep this in mind. It is commonly believed that 75% of the people in Massachusetts have never heard of Carla Howell. Of the 25% that do know about her, she has the support of about 80%. Almost everyone who knows about her, is supporting her.

If you had asked me 6 weeks ago, do i think Carla has a chance to win, i would have said no. BUT i'm not so sure now. She is getting her message out, and libertarians are gaining support around the country.

And in this case, blind faith in anyone to beat Teddy is better than the altournative.
