OK Guys and Gals.
What we have here is a 100%, Bona Fide, Pro-Gun Candidate for US Senate from Massachusetts. She is currently holding 20% support in the polls. SHE CAN WIN!
Today, with a friend, i stamped and addressed 3500 postcards for Carla at her campaign office. And when this was done, we delivered 800 yard signs to three depot locations for people to pick them up (and i'm holding 100 yard signs at my house for immediate need in my area.) This was a Vacation Day as far as my boss is concerned, and i'm glad to have done it.
I was able to talk with Carla for a short time today, and guess what: she is every bit as much pro-2nd Amendment as All of us are. She realated a story to me about a college friend of her's that refused to support her campaign because of, "[her] utter support of the gun lobby." And she is not caving in a bit.
PEOPLE
WE NEED TO SUPPORT CARLA HOWELL. WE need to support her both with our money and our time.
I implore you, in your area, get in touch with your pro-gun candidates for public office. Volunteer some time to them, it is more valuable than your money. But if you cannot volunteer some time, then please, send them some cash. Write to your local news outlets and inform them of your desire to see your candidate in the news and in the polls.
For those of you in Massachusetts, (or New England) please, write the Boston Herald and tell them you are pissed off that they have not included Carla Howell in their Senate Race Polls. Call and write the Boston Globe (a/k/a "The NAMBLA News"), the Boston Herald, the Middlesex News, the T&G, the Cape Cod Times, the Berkshire Eagle; tell them to included Carla Howell's Open Letter to Teddy Kennedy in their news paper.
DEMAND TO BE HEARD!!!
WE CAN WIN THIS ONE!!!

"[Even if there would be] few tears shed if and when the Second Amendment is held to guarantee nothing more than the state National Guard, this would simply show that the Founders were right when they feared that some future generation might wish to abandon liberties that they considered essential, and so sought to protect those liberties in a Bill of Rights. We may tolerate the abridgement of property rights and the elimination of a right to bear arms; but we should not pretend that these are not reductions of rights." -- Justice Scalia 1998
