To trade or not to trade?

Hi guys,

In an attempt to streamline my pistols, I am pondering trading off my SigPro 2009 with night sights. With it would be 5 mags and a spare recoil spring. I rarely shoot it, and there is something about it that doesn't make it conducive to CCW, especially in the southern summer, for me. A Glock 27 to accompany my 23 is what I would really like to have.

Should I trade off the SigPro? Any particular reason to keep it? It is one of two 9mm, the other being a commemorative Beretta 92FS that is rarely shot.

Uh...commerative Beretta? What's your location, Ohio by chance?

As far as that trade, I say get what you want and go on with your life. I also find myself slowly getting rid of guns I can or won't carry often so I know where you're coming from.

...or Mississippi?;)

I agree, get what you want and know you will use more. I'm Getting ready to do the same with a SRH .44 mag. for the same reason. It's a great hunting rig, but has been sitting in the safe for 6 or 7 years. Just never use it.

I've been consolidating my guns to what i shoot and carry the most.
I just sold my wifes Rossi for 200.00 so she could buy more ammo for her G23.Except for my 686 everything i have is either 9mm,.40 or 357 Sig(i'm going to change the barrel to .40 cal in my 229 when i get more money.

Go with what you like and if you don't like the sig get something better.:D

Are you going to keep just one or two guns or are you looking to begin a collection? If you just want what you need, get rid of it and have what you require. If you are starting a collection, keep it but only if you like it. If you don't like, regardless of the reason, get rid of it.

The Beretta is a 9/11 "United We Stand" commemorative edition.

I am not selling this gun, but rather thinking about trading it. I would like to consolidate my handgun collection into primarily 1911's, S&W and Colt revolvers and Glocks.

Still not sure whether I want to trade the Sig or not. It would be nice to have a 9mm around for less expensive shooting and softer recoil, but I really don't shoot this pistol much. I'm not sure why.

For me trading has never been a welcome thing to do. Just like cars, better to sell and buy than to trade in most cases.

To me its simple....if you like it, Keep it....If you don't like it, Don't Keep it.

I have a number of guns I don't shoot much / but I still like them - so they stay.

But my taste has changed over the years too / or I may have bought a collectable weapon - and then found a better one down the road / so then I will usually sell the one I don't want to keep.

I like to have guns ( the same guns ) chambered in different calibers 9mm,
.40S&W and .45 acp .....sometimes I feel like shooting a 9mm, sometimes a
.45 acp, etc ... Having a 9mm in the same gun I carry in a .45acp makes for a perfect less expensive training weapon.
