To Rack or Roll, To Rim or Center???

OK, it's shopping time again. With my "spare change & lotto" fund now seeing 5 Benjamins +, and with close to $300 in BPS gift cards and rewards points that is where I'm looking
I have had a S&W 617 on my wish list for a while. I fell in love with the rimfire S&W when one was provided for a CCW class. Thought " I gotta get one of these". The auto-loader used was a Browning Buckmark Camper. I instantly got the same desire for one of them also. When there was a good sale price again at BPS last month I filled my want for the Browning.
When I went to check on the 617 at Bass Pro, I noticed a CZ-75 SP01 in the case. I had them take it out for a look. SWEEEET!!!!
Now I have to decide. I know both are great in their own way, and the Smith is a lot more economical to feed. I already shoot a lot of rimfire with my Walther P22, Heritage Rough Rider, High Standard HD-Military, and Buckmark. I enjoy shooting rimfire as much as my centerfire guns.
With a Beretta 92fs, and a Star B in the safe,I don't really need another 9. Heck I don't need another anything, but that CZ is so sweet. After all, 9's are like Jello, there is always room for more.
Now, what to do???:D

Well, just a thought. The only thing cheaper to shoot than 9mm is .22 LR. And your handle is..............well, you know. Nothing wrong with a bunch of rimfires. They're tons of fun.

The 617 is a sweet shooter for sure,,,

The Model 617 is one sweet gun,,,
And I just love S&W rimfire revolvers,,,
I just can't get past that danged full lug barrel on the 617.

That's a personal preference though,,,
It has nothing to do whatsoever with the gun's quality.

Here's an optional suggestion for you,,,
Go on gunbroker or pawn shops/used gun dealers,,,
See if you can't find a 6" barrel S&W Model 17 Masterpiece,,,
Or perhaps even a 4" barrel S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece.

These two guns are the predecessor of the Model 617.

Buy what makes ya happy my friend,,,
Personally I don't think it's possible to own too many .22's. :D

As for that CZ-75 SP01,,,
I feel your pain there my friend,,,
I own a CZ-75B and love the dang thing,,,
Loved it so much that I bought a .22 Kadet to go with it.

Let us know what you end up getting.
