To Paint or not to Paint?

I'm considering camouflaging my original synthetic stock on my Vanguard,, I have done a few now and so far they look better each time. I'm sorry but the computer I use to post pics on is on the fritz, so I can't show any pics today,,, just wanted to know what you fellas thought of painting original stock.

P.S. the rifle will never be traded or sold.;)
 
I'd hate to see someone paint a "nice" wood stock but synthetic? Go for it! I kind of like como'ed rifles and scopes. Must be the Mall Ninja in me. :D
