KaMaKaZe, I gotta know. How do you find all of these news links. If anothing happens in any part of the country, you always manage to have a link to the story. What's the secret? I'll tell ya how I do my graphics with simple step-by-step instructions in exchange.

I must admit, that deserved a very good laugh. I don't know what got me more.. your comment, or that pic. At any rate, since I work the 6am-12pm shift (tech-support) we don't get a lot of calls during those hours so I have plenty of time to surf (of course). I tend to pick up a few news links here and there and then some.. and wade through them all on a daily basis. Sometimes I can read it all, sometimes I can't.

Here are a few of my regulars:

That is.. of course.. minus the geeky news sources. :D

And so I give, what did you use to create those graphs with?

(I'm offa work -- Woohoo!)

KaMaKaZe, actually it's pretty simple. If you want to create something like this ...
percent1.gif

... You would use one of the Microsoft office products such as PowerPoint. Create the image and do a screen print to capture the image into the PC buffer. Then using a GIF graphic editting tool (I use L-Viewer which is freely available on the Web -- not to be confused with L-ViewPro, which is by the same company but is shareware and not freeware), I paste the image from the buffer into the editor. I them crop the image and select a background color so that things appear transparent.

Hope this helps. If you and any further questions, please feel free to e-mail me. Regards, FUD.

Well darnit.

I thought you were about to deliver some new revelation in graphics. I could pull off something of the sort the hard way.. but I thought you might have picked up some software somewhere that might have put this together for you (with minimal work).

I'm always lookin' for the easy way out of something ya know..

On a side note.. skipped outta work at noon like I usually do. I'll be traveling to Western NC on a mini-vaction myself.. Well, the GF wants to do a little trout fishing.. so I thought I would dust off an ultra-lite rod and step out back to cast a few. So I'm out behind my place pickin' up a small brim here or there... and I'll be damned if I didn't loose my most valued Rooster Tail.

[insert dirty word here] *sigh*
