To Get or Not To Get????

I visited my local gunstore yesterday and again looked at a rifle that I've had my
eye on for some time.....now I really don't NEED this rifle as I have several of the
same caliber.................but dang me....it shore is purty.

It's a 10/22 RBI (SS) with a manlicher (sp) stock (very nice wood), this is a new
rifle that was manufactured in 1996 and after checking the "book" discovered that
Ruger doesn't make this particular model anymore.

Price $239.......out the door $274. But I can only get the 10 round mags for it.

What do you guys think? Should I buy it or not?

I say get it. A 10/22 is never a bad choice. I'm still kickin' myself for not getting one of those stainless 10/22s with the laminate gray/green full stock when they were around a few years ago at gunshows and Walmart for $250. Put a Williams receiver sight on it and proceed to plink. -- Kernel

Well, being the proud owner of a 10/22RBI (blued, stained hardwood plain-Jane) because SO thought it was soooo pretty, let me share a comment or two...
- They have a wonderful balance, a little bit weight in the nose that improves (IMVHO) stability.
- They need much more tweaking to shoot accurately. Mine is still in the works, but I'm experimenting with pressure bedding!!!
-They are just drop-dead gorgeous! :D
Have fun with it, it's a wonderful plinker!!!
