I was originally gonna' post this in the Full-Auto Forum, but since belt-fed semi-autos are also available I'll post this here.
Has anyone noticed what happens when you fill your 3 1/2" wide ammo cans with belts (cloth or links) of 7.62x51?
You have a little over 1/2" of empty space, your ammo rattles, the tips get "mushroomed", and it just don't line up straight!
Line the inside front and back of your cans with 1/4" thick cardboard, and Ta-Daaa! No more shakes, rattles, and your bullet tips still look like bullet tips, even after being knocked around!
If y'all have got any other neat tips or tricks, for ANY kind of rifle, post 'em and share your secrets!
