Before I got my first Glock my experience had been with DA/SA triggers like 1911 and HK. I'm not a particularly good shot, but I've always been able to shoot 2-3" groups at a standard indoor range.
So, I was rather shocked when I went to the range with my first Glock and half my shots missed an 8 X 11" target at 10 yrds. I thought, what the heck - its got to be the gun, Glocks suck.
Finally, I figured out what the problem was. Previously, I had been used to placing the pad of my trigger finger centered on the trigger. When I pushed the finger further into the trigger guard and placed the trigger where the 1st digit bends, the difference was like night and day. I could feel it just in dry firing. I was back to shooting my usual group sizes.
The other change I had to make was with the placement of my support hand thumb. Normally I would cup one thumb on top of the other, both pointed toward the target. However, becuase my trigger finger was now further into the trigger, it was rubbing against the thumbs. So, I switched my support hand thumb to sticking straight up and out of the way.
Anyhow, if you are like me, I hope this saves you some frustration with Glocks.
