I get a catalog, and I have no idea how I got on the mailing list, from "Shomer-Tech". A lot of the stuff in there is LEO only but the surveillance stuff is available to anyone. They have devices to bug phones, fax lines, anything. Don't know if they have a website.

How do you plan on powering the device? Batteries only last so long, and if you want to hardwire the device to AC, you need a transformer, which takes up a good amount of space. With serveillance equipment you have several factors to ballance, range, longevity, covertness, durability, and usefullness of info gathered. Without knowing what you are planning to do, it is hard to give advice on what you need.

You can always ask Linda Tripp where she shopped. ;)

Note that wiretapping is WAY illegal in most places. But the guys at radio shack can be MOST helpful I'm told.

Stay safe, stay legal,

Shomer-tec has a wide array of this stuff and you can probably find what you need. Don't get into too much trouble.

No website, but here's the Shomer-tec info:

Well, here's the rub:

Someone asked me to find this stuff for them, someone who doesn't want people to know his house is "bugged"

He probably plans only on taping certain events, short term, so batteries would be fine, I'm certain. It would be for personal use, mostly to keep events recorded that need recording. Why he wants audio I can only guess, since permanently installed video+audio over 900Mhz is so much easier, but hey: that's just me. Maybe portability, I dunno.

I found a couple of things that tramsit to an FM radio, but that seems awfully unsecure.

Again, thanks in advance for any help you have...
