Sad to say, after updating the sights on my USP to night sights last year, my G19's sights have been looking mighty dim. Does anyone know if it is posible to simply replace the glowing posts in the sights and if so how to order them. I know they are radioactive, but I can't imagine that they could be so dangerous that they could not be sold without the sight bases to protect us from their harmful rays.

Are they Trijicon sights? Even if they are not I think that the inserts must be factory installed due the complex assembly such as aluminum sleeved, then silicon rubber, then the clear sapphire covers. (This is how the Trijicon's are put together)

Spirex288 is right, the sights should be replaced under warranty if they are dimming after only 1 year. The half life of tritium is over 20 years, so they shouldn't be noticeably dimmer for at least 15 years. I know this is probably a silly question, but did you try to clean the dots? Maybe they just have a sooty coating on them.
