hey guys, getting another rifle
ive narrowed it down to 3 and will be chambered in 243 win

im going between the Thompson/Center Venture, the savage 11/111 FCNS, and the marlin x7

any body shot these or compared them? or have any input?

I've shot the Venture and it was a pretty good shooter plus T/C guarantees better than MOA accuracy with premium ammo. My rifle didn't shoot that well but I never put premium ammo or worked up a hand load for it, but it shot 1.25" with cheap Remington ammo.

I have a few Stevens 200 rifles and they all shoot well. I wouldn't be afraid of the Marlin either from how I've seen them shoot. The only advantage to any of them right now is the $50 rebate offered by T/C right now that might mean a lot to some guys looking to buy before hunting season.

yea, ive read a lot of reviews on a lot of them but i like hearing that from somebody on the forums thats shot one

and that goes for all 3 of them
 
I have a Savage 111 in 270 win. and will shoot very tight groups with factory ammo. I think the newer models than mine come with the accutrigger which mine does not have. I do have a savage in 204 with the accutrigger and absolutely love that rifle.

Have not shot T/C or Marlin.
