Has anybody seen or heard of this rifle? Better yet, does anybody have any first-hand experience with one? My local shop has one for $450.00 The idea of a .44 pump gun REALLY intrigues me. I've not actually SEEN the gun yet, but a buddy alerted me to the fact that it's for sale. I plan to take a look this week - I don't expect it to last long, as it would seem that it is an unusual piece. Any info, pro or con, would be beneficial to me. Thanks.

timber wolf pup made by action arms, 10 shot tube mag. 18.5 bbl., 6lbs. straight grip walnut, blue and takedown. $429 from '93 gun digest. never saw one but there was also a pump .44 called the VULCAN ? from Universal arms it had a five shot clip. Don't know the date. HTH

A neat little carbine, receiver is cast to accept weaver scope rings. They were made in Israel by IMI, but they haven't been imported for 5 or 6 years. They also made them in .357 Mag and also a nickel (or maybe hard chrome) plated version. I heard there were problems with the butt stock cracking, check that for faint signs splitting, epoxy would probably fix it better than new and it'd give you an edge to negotiate down the price. -- Kernel

I've seen these and looked at one a guy had at the range in .357. He had owned his for 6 months or so and had cycling feed problems. It was an interesting little rifle but with no service support and the high price it would be more cost effective to go with one of the lever actions like the Marlin. MWT

Thanks for the replies. I've not seen the gun yet, but plan to have a look Wednesday. Powermwt, you make a good point about the lack of support should I have a problem. The gun doesn't seem as though it would be practical, but that's not kept me from spending my $ in the past. I'll let you know what happens.
