Hi all,

At the present moment i have a tikka t3 lite stainless 22-250 and i reload for it.

Eentually i want to sell it to buy another Tikka but a tactical model in 308 for shooting animals form rabbits right up to pigs goats and maybe deer.

Just wondering what you all think of the gun???

I've no experience with the Tikka, but from what I've heard it's a fine rifle, and .308 is a fine cartridge, although it might be a bit much for shooting rabbits. I personally prefer a small-bore shotgun and a couple of beagles for rabbit, but that's just my opinion.

But, from all reports, Tikka makes a rifle that will shoot.

Would you then change your username? HAHA

But being serious, why would you sell the 22-250 to get the .308 they are such differrent rifles fitting such different list of abilities I would think you'd have both. If deer are the biggest animal you intend to shoot I see no need for the .308. If you shoot rabbits just for kicks then fine, upgrade to the .308 but if you plan to try and eat them fuggetabotit.

Tikka T3 Lite .308

I own a T3 Lite in .308. It has a very smooth bolt and the trigger is the best factory trigger on any rifle I have (I also own a Weatherby Vanguard, Brownig Xbolt and Rem 700...all have excellent triggers but the Tikka is best).
The being synthetic is not my favorite but it's comfortable enough. As far as shooting, it shoots 3 shot groups under 1 MOA and sometimes down to half inch at 100 yards. I have a mildot scope and reaching out to 340 (that's the farthest my range goes) is easily done. I absolutely love this rifle.
