M ms6852 New member Mar 21, 2016 #2 Depends on the caliber. I have one in a 30-06 and shoot the 165 to 180 gr for elk and the 150's for deer. It's a great little rifle.

M ms6852 New member Mar 22, 2016 #4 Just shoot various bullet grains until you start to notice keyholes. Than shoot the last bullet length that your rifle would stabilize. Their are claims that 1:10 will stabilize 69 grains but every barrel is different.
