Tikka CTR 260

I've been very impressed with my CTR in .260Rem. With handloads it consistently shoots around 0.4MOA, and I've shot a number of groups that were considerably better (see pics below).

The trigger's excellent for a factory trigger, and the bolt's slicker'n snot. I also like the 60° bolt lift and the large bolt knob. It comes standard with a picatinny rail, threaded muzzle, and 10-round Sako TRG mag. My only gripe is that additional TRG mags are very expensive.

If you're eventually planning on dropping it into an aftermarket stock or chassis, though, I'd suggest buying a standard T3. AFAIK, these stocks & chassis will use AI mags, so you'll have to buy AI bottom metal. As such there's no need to pay extra for the CTR and it's TRG mag.

Mine done decent with this 6 round shot at a 100. 140 smk. That's some fine shooting at 200 you did.

MrBorland is one of those fellows my dear old departed Dad would watch for a bit, smile and say, "That feller can shoot a little." ;)

Indeed.

Ain't no doubt. Those key chains and groups are great. These seem to be good rifles. I'd like to have one in a 308 but I haven't seen any other chambers

I believe most are in .308.

Could be. I bought mine from eurooptic.com, and they said .308 was no problem, but only had a few .260s.

What kind of scope does your rifle don?

At the time, it was wearing a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 I borrowed off my deer rifle. It's now got it's own - a Vortex PST 4-16x50 ffp. I hope to shoot mid-range tactical precision matches with it, and this PST's got the features I wanted.
