HOW MUCH WOULD IT OR DOES IT USUALLY COST TO HAVE A GUNSMITH THREAD THE BARREL ON A MATCH TARGET HBAR COLT .223 AR STYLE RIFLE??? (SO I CAN PUT A FLASH HIDER ON IT) OR IS IT BETTER TO LEAVE AS IS?? I DON'T WANT TO MESS UP THE AIM AT ALL I GOT A GOOD DEAL ON THIS GUN PAID A GRAND ON IT 95% USED IN GREAT CONDITION WITH SCOPE

Two suggestions:
1- Don't put a flashsuppressor on your match rifle. It may damage the barrel crown, and then the rifle won't shoot for squat. If you really want an internet warrior accessorized AR, you can always trade the match rifle for one.
2- Turn off your caps lock and turn off the bold text. Typing in all caps and in bold is like screaming at someone and is harder to read.

I'll agree with Scorch, the Caps and Bold type are obnoxious!

Don't thread the match barrel, you can always buy another upper receiver with a cheaper barrel if you want a muzzle brake or flash suppressor.

Go ahead, thread it $125 in our shop.

Its impossible for a trained gunsmith to mess up a crown while threading

Well, Wildalaska, that all depends on the level of training the gunsmith has. I watched in horror one time as a smith I used to work with chucked up a barrel, put a live center in the muzzle and turned on the lathe. When he was done, I asked him if he was going to retouch the crown, and he said "no, it's better to leave the crown alone unless it has been damaged". When the customer brought it back because it didn't shoot as well as before, I recrowned it and gave it back to the customer at no charge.

Dear Shooter:
I have real problems, as WILDALASKA does with that type of gunsmithing! Not only that, but after threading the turning up of the flashider so tight that it "stretches" the bbl at the junction where it shoulders on the bbl.
Not only that, but making sure, before threading that the bore is concentric with the O.D. of the bbl., and making sure that the bullet doesn't, "wipe' the flashider!
Why a flashider? Yes, for combat o.K. but for civilian shooting leave well enough alone.
I have an AK47 with Russian sniper/range-finder scope and a 75 rd. drum magazine and I have NOT put a flashider on it. If I did put one on it would be a "VORTEX" hider!
In combat, or sniping (which the AK47 isn't suited for) you still have the muzzle-blast to score on your position!
