Thoughts on Leupold Mark AR?

I'm looking at the Mark AR in 3x9. I'll probably mount it with Burris' P.E.P.R. mount. It will all go on my DPMS Sweet 16. Any thoughts on this set up or suggestions of another set up in the same price range($350-$400)? Ridle is used primarily for target/plinking but want to step up to coyote calling.

Recently mounted my new Leupold Mark AR 4-12X40 on my Bushmaster Varminter 24" (stainless). Used American Defense AD Recon-S 1" mount for the system, although they make offset/cantilever style mounts as well. About $150 for the mount (extremely solid as well as quick-detach), and $450 for the scope (Mil-dot reticle). Finally got out to zero it in this past weekend, went early in AM and scope had good clarity and bright picture even 20 minutes before sun-up. I also have an RRA in 16" with QD-mounted Aimpoint, thinking now about the Mark AR 3-9 for that (just in case). Always good to have options...

Just saw the price range you listed, and did more research on the PEPR mount. If you don't need quick-detach, then something like the PEPR would be better. I also have red dot sights I put on my rifles when its not hunting season (but when is it not? :D) therefore my QD reasoning. BTW I purchased my last two scopes from opticsplanet.net, they have good service and shipping is usually free.
