Thoughts, experience, and/or pics of the SIG P227?

Well, I've wanted one since it first came out. I've always loved the P229 and P226 and shot them very well. I've tried to love (4 different models of) the P220 but I just don't shoot them very well. I think it's just how thin it is. I don't shoot 1911's very well either.

So ever since the 227 was announced with a grip nearly identical to the P226, I've been intrigued. I've handled them a few times in the shops and they feel great. So, I finally put a P227 Carry on layaway at Bud's on Friday.

Any of you guys have the 227 yet? What do you think of it? I'm pretty excited that I will be able to load up on mags for it and then use them in the P320 45 once it comes out.

PA. State police is issuing the P227 now right out of the academe now. Its a great shooting gun. I have shot a few.

I've had one for a few months now and like it pretty good. I got one of the extended mags from Cabelas a while back also. I got the carry model so its closer the my 229 than my 226.

Thanks. Yeah, mine will be the Carry model as well. I already have a spare Gray Guns P-SPIT trigger for it. I don't think it comes with SRT, so I'll have to order one of those kits as well.

I'm strongly leaning towards ordering the Hogue G10 grips for it as well, but I might wait to make sure it actually shoots well for me.

There was a bit of a stink when the P227 first came out that the factory high-cap mags were not feeding reliably. Anyone know if this is a significant issue, and if so, if it has been resolved?

I've heard the same issue about the 14rd mags. I'm sure I'll up one or 2 and run them through their paces.

Not super worried about it as I probably won't carry with one of them. heh.
