Thought this amusing, 50 vs 223

There's guns and then THERE'S GUNS.
I've always considered the 50 BMG to be the answer to nearly any problem weighing less than 10 tons.
 
You know what they say "a pictures worth a thousand words" and that picture says it all.

In 1968 I had several functions but my main one was a Ma Deuce gunner, I love the 50BMG.
 
I couldn't even imagine the muzzle blast from that shorty. I'm also curious about the FPS from it, if the chronograph doesn't get sent downrange 50'.:eek:

I remember one evening I had just spent loading some AP for my Windrunner, I found a round of cute little itty bitty bottle necked ammo on my desk. I couldn't remember ever owning a mousegun (AR15 family). The headstamp was 308 Win. Handling fifties can really skew your perception. Here's a pic of mine with the Magnetospeed V2 at the range.
