Thought I was sick of Emily

I was getting tired of my P95, affectionately named "Emily". She was becomming familiar, boring. I thought that I needed something more exotic, exciting, alluring, so I started crusing the gun stores in Huntsville and Arab, Alabama.

Many semi-autos and revolvers caught my eye; a S&W Model 19, a Beretta 92F, a bevy of beautiful 1911's, and a Hi-Power. I was so sick of looking at Emily day after day.

But, an interesting thing happened while at the range last Sunday. I was able to compare Emily to a Beretta 92FS and a S&W 5906 that a friend of mine had brought. And behold, Emily kicked their butts!. She performed beautifully, more so than either of those two other pistols. She never choked on anything, while the other two behaved like a baby with colic. And what's more, she was just as accurate as the other two.

Emily's trigger pull was just as smooth as the Beretta, and better than the Smith, both in double and single action modes. She wasn't as heavy as the other two, and her grips were more slender.

I fell in love with Emily all over again last Sunday, and vowed never again to be beguiled by the superficial allure of another woman!

Don't you dare shoot a Glock 17 or 19 you will dump old plain Jane, Emily so quickly, that her alloy frame will shrivel. ;)
