Thompson Center Hawken

I've got a TC Hawken that was Dad's that I have a question about. Its a .45 now and I'd like to rebarrel it to .54 or .58. Would that be possible? The barrel is ruined from years of neglect after Dad died and I was too young to know anything about it. Any help is appreciated.

Your best bet might be Green Mountain and you will be limited by you 15/16" flats which is what you should have. Looks like your top end on this will be the .54, which isn't too bad. You can even go down to a .32 and again, keeping to your fit of 15/16. There might be other suppliers available but these folks are excellent. Go here and take a look around. .. ;)

Thanks for the link articap. Cool site. +1 on the GM barrels, have one on my Cougar that started life as a .45. Went with the .54 in a slow twist because someday I want to hunt with a round ball and .54 seemed the most humane choice.
