Anyone ever tried one of these in .22LR Match barrel? what type of accuracy are we talking? How much do these go for??? I can't find much info for them on the web, and my local gunstore hasn't even heard of them!!!

I love mine. I got it maybe ten years ago for about $160 but I'm sure they have gone up since. It shoots less than .5 inch groups at 50 yards with plain ole CCI standard velocity, haven't tried match grade ammo. The best it did was one group of .250 inches.

Barrel Cost!

Try Ed's Contenders @ www.edstc.com for the most competitive retail price I have seen on the web - $195 for a blue 21" .22 LR Match. He actually beats Midway's wholesale price. :D

Do you have a Contender already?

Or are you just thinking about buying a new barrel?

If you're considering purchasing a Contender, I'll give an enthusiastic reccommendation. For another $150 bucks you can turn your .22 carbine into a 4lb 10oz big game rifle. The barrel-swapping feature, and general lightness and trimness of the Contender pistol/carbine give it absolutely amazing versatility as a sporting firearm.

Also, you can check out www.singleshooters.com for a bunch of articles and links to Net sites selling new and used Contender bbls.
