I have a problem and have not been able to find the solution ofer the past few days of looking. I am looking at getting a .460 s&w katahdin barrel for my Prohunter. I know they come with the peep sight, but are they also drilled and tapped for regular encore scope bases? Would like to mount a Nikon Omega on top. I thing this would be a nice rifle for the Indiana deer woods next fall.

My .45-70 barrel was drilled and tapped for the bases. I'm reasonably sure my .50-cal muzzleloader is as well. They just use the rear mount holes for the peep sight, well, they should use the rear holes. My muzzleloader came set-up on the forward mounting holes, but I fixed that.
