I have a 4" barrel, .357 GP-100 for my house gun and I keep it in my bedside table drawer. Up to this point, I just had it laying on a towel and I always thought this position would make it difficult to quickly arm myself in case an intruder came through. I decided to make this "drawer holster" that now holds it upright against the drawer front and at an angle that would facilitate rapid deployment. I also constructed a spring loaded "paddle" (that uses a spring hinge meant for screen doors) that holds the gun firmly in place to prevent movement during drawer manipulation, but will still allow easy removal. I contact-cemented leather to any surfaces the gun would contact to prevent scratches and such. What do you think?
