This looks like fun

Just a few quick pics, haven't got it out to the range yet. CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1.

Some accessories, 30 round mag, NEBO light, and the SIG Brace Adapter - that is a two piece assembly and is HEAVY and tough, It could be used as a club dismounted. Yes, I moved the hand stop - experimenting.

Range time coming up.

Gonna try some wildly different ammo types in it to see what it likes. Here the two different mags that I got - the 30 rounders sold out in less than 10 hours after the first batch went up online.

The last thing you should do is clean your new gun before you test fire it, right? I looked at the Scorpion and figured, well, this is a big piece of machinery, probably gonna be a chore...*sigh*, let's get started.

Then I read the instructions. Bolt back, charging handle locked to rear. Push pin out, pull trigger unit back and up.

OK, so NOW comes the hard part, right?

Reach in, push bolt back with thumb, lift out.

Ok, NOW comes the hard...I'm done? That's IT?

That's it.

Clean and reassemble. I did need to use the longer rifle rod to run a patch through the bore, now I know why they threw in a Bore Snake! I think this thing is eaiser to clean than anything else I own!

One small issue - I dropped the bolt on the carpet while cleaning it...and cat hair got on it. Tried to get it all off, but I'll bet the first few rounds smell like burnt cat hair...

They did, less than 10 hours 300 magazines were gone - I got a couple. :)

Targets? OK, here's what I did, still working out the best way to shoot this pistol. "Braced" means kneeling position, with right arm up on the shooting bench. "Hand Forward" means left arm extended all the way out, hand around the end of the pistol up against the hand stop, standing with single point sling on.

Last 4 rounds.

This COULD have been an awesome group...that center group is 4 rounds. Oddly enough, it's the only ammo that the gun doesn't like, or at least on of the 20 round magazines doesn't like - it gave me the only FTF I had with this stuff, locked the bolt back.

It worked much better with that one item taken care of - notice what I did in the picture?

Thanks for the range report.

That gun looks like it would be a lot of fun but definitely a handful to shoot.

Bet you get a lot of folk coming up to you at the range asking about it.

Good luck!
