This Just In: Sig-Mauser M-2 .45ACP!

March edition of Gun World. Sig bought out Mauser, and the first new effort is a .45 designed for USA @$425 MSRP!
It appears to be a SigPro style of slide mated to an alloy frame. Berretta style rotary barrel operation w/frame mounted decocker. It has stiker fired internals, w/ a manual safety mounted above the backstrap, just under where a "hammer" would be at rest. It pivots right to "safe" and left to "fire".
No mention was made of overall specs or mag capacity. Pictures are deceiving, but it appears to be like 228/245 in size.

Victor,

Mauser? Do you mean that its a bolt action to chamber a round? I'm confused about your description, (which is a common state that I've learned to live in), however it sounds very interesting. Could it be that the forman at SigArms shop actually took my advice and made a 225 long barreled .45 ACP? Naaahhhh. That's too much of a stretch of the immagination for your description. Oh well......Now if your talking about a 245 Mauser action that shoots rifle calibers, that may be worth saving my pennies for. ;)

PS: Sorry, I just went back and read your post again....I SEE NOW...Sig bought out another company CALLED Mauser. I didn't know there was such a critter. That's what threw me. I wonder if they give refunds for that speed reading course?
