Finaly managed to get the hang of this camera..(I think) so I decided to post a better pic of my M14.

She is a 1961 Winchester that saw service with the Israeli Military.I have replaced the original wooden furniture with a GI 'glass stock and I find it to be just fine for field use.
My MBR may be 40yrs old but she is in superb condition and will comfortably shoot 2.5" groups with Norinco ammo.If using quality German surplus and I do my part, 1.7" groups are reasonably common.
Dang....I love this rifle!!:D

Hi Pilgrim..yup the camo job on the 'glass stock is home grown.I used a Du Pont 2 pot epoxy.My local paint shop mixed up the colours to my spec's.They added a matting agent to the paint and it looks as flat and bland as a hand full of dirt..
