This is my first posting on this forum. I am not only new to this forum, but also new to the gun hobby itself. Anyways, I bought a new pistol (my 3rd gun) today.
I bought a Taurus 38 special Total Titanium in Stealth Grey with the small 2 inch ported barrel. This gun is very small and very light. I haven't had a chance to shoot it, or my other guns I recently bought.
By the way, my other guns are a Cobray M12 PreBan 380. This is like a MAC-10 type gun. I also own a Sig Arms P229 in 40s&w. The Sig really feels like a top quality gun. I can't wait to shoot my guns.....
Anyways, thats me, and my guns! :)

Welcome.
I have a sig 220 and love it. I'm sure you will have a great time shooting yours.

FYI..Sig customer service is great :) call em if you need anything and they will help.

Welcome Lightsped;
I hope you will enjoy your guns. I can assure you that you will enjoy this forum as there is really a wealth of expert information here.
Being a country boy, I can't imagine having three guns that I hadn't fired. Let us know how it turns out.

You have to be there when it's all over. Otherwise you can't say "I told you so."

Better days to be,

Greetings.

By posting on this site, you have joined that small cadre of zealots known as "gun nuts". You might as well set up a separate bank account for future acquisistions, because if your significant other ever finds out how much you'll be spending on well-fashioned hunks of steel and plastic, she'll have you committed.

I see your from kennesaw and like the majority of gun owners, you are only following the law. Which i belive in kennesaw is to own a gun. WOW! I really envy you living in kkenesaw and all. Since all of your nieghbors are probably gun owners turn them on to our site. Its addictive!

Welcome to the Gun Nut house.
What, the Taurus isn't a quality gun???!!! I think you will find that your little M85 will soon become your closest friend. Especially if you intend to carry concealed. It kicks like a mule (at least mine does, and it ain't even Titianium.), but it gets the job done.
Just my $.02 worth. Safety first!! ;)

Welcome Lightsped. Wow, from your profile your interest are cars (I'm a confirmed car nut myself and own a [home built] big block Camaro show car), motorcycles (TFL is heavily populated with motorcyle enthusiast) and guns (well aren't we all ;)). Sounds like you are in the right place.
I was looking at either an H&K USP or Sig. Let us know your impressions after you have a chance to try them out.
BTW, you are registered to vote aren't you? :D

Lightsped,
I also have a 229 and the same Stealth Gray Taurus you have. Nice guns. There are none better than those Sigs. If you are new to the shooting sports, I would suggest hiring an instructor. You won't be sorry. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for all of the kind replies.
Yeah, Kennesaw has this ordinance of some kind saying it is the law for everyone to keep a gun of some kind in their home. I am not sure how many people actually have guns in their homes though. I am not aware of any surveys or studies that have been done on this issue.
Yeah, the Taurus Total Titanium seems made of high quality, but when I push the cylinder release it is slightly hard to get the cylinder to come out. I don't know if it is because it is new and never fired, or if there is a slight imperfection in the metal.....
Here is the link about the gun laws here. http://www.seebo.net/Kennesaw.html
