I like my Guardian, however it's a little ammunition sensitive. It jams on .32 caliber Hydra-Shoks but feeds Silvertips and Fiocchi FMJ just fine. The Fiocchi seems to be the best operating ammo for the Guardian. A friend told me that the Fiocchi hollow point is just about as powerful as you can get for a .32ACP round. I just got home from the gun shop where I purchased some 60gr. Fiocchi SJHP in .32ACP for the Guardian. It looks pretty good, but it is a lot shorter than the full metal jacket. What I want to know is if any other TFL member has tried the Fiocchi hollow point in a Guardian. I'll try it out at the range tomorrow and if it doesn't work in my Guardian I can always fire it in my P-32. (Which has had NO trouble with any type of ammo. :))

Thanks,
Will

Hi Will, I carry the guardian whenever I cant carry my glock. Have had no problems with the fiocchi hollow points feeding or ejecting at all. I havn't tried the hydra shocks for it myself but after reading your post will most likely stick with the fiocchi cartridge. In my area the hydrashocks are about two or three times the cost, I doubt they are worth the price increase.

LOCHFAL,
Thanks for the reply.
I didn't get to try out the Fiocchi hollow points today like I'd planned. For now, the Guardian is still loaded with Fiocchi full metal jackets. The FMJ works so well in my Guardian that I might just keep it as my carry round. I'll try the hollow points at my next range trip, though. Which Glock do you have? Sometimes I carry my 27 plus the Guardian, now that I've purchased such a great back pocket holster from RJ Hedley. For me, back pocket carry is the most comfortable way to carry the Guardian.

I haven't tried the Fiochi HP's yet in my Guardian, but I've also had jams with HydraShocks, but only after the first two mags. As soon as it gets a little fouled, they tend to hang on the feed ramp. Needless to say, I'm not entirely satisfied with reliability yet, though I figure if I get past the second mag in a defensive scenario, I'm not having a good day. Then again, if I have to draw it in the first place I'm probably wishing I had my .40 with me ... or better yet that I had just stayed home that day.
