An Aussie judge saying "You brought in on yourself, and I have no sympathy for those who recieve hurt while committing a crime"

Huh...?
Have I been abducted by aliens & taken to a reasonable but parallel universe where common sense is actually used. :)

I'd vote this Judge into office here in a flash ! :D

Just goes to show that there should be at least a 30 day waiting period before anyone can buy a bat. Was this a pre-ban or post-ban bat, by the way? Oh, and we need federal background checks on bat sales at sports memorabilia shows.

Nice one. HS. But try this:

Man's having a shower at night. Hears a disturbance outside. Looks out window -- sees juveniles walking over the roof of his car.

Wraps towel around waist and goes outside with walking stick.

Grabs one of the perps (happens to be female). She screams, the boys come back and smash him twice in the head with a 4x2, breaking his skull (and the 4x2). They then proceed to kick his head in further while he's on the ground. Result? Permanent brain damage.

In court, they claim they were concerned he was going to rape the girl???????????

Judge rules: The juveniles were justified in smashing his head in with the 4x2 -- but not with kicking him.

Go figure.

Only in the UK can you have a discussion about "the rights and *wrongs* of defending your home", and be taken seriously. Sheesh, why don't they make the poor saps provide the burglars with dollies and help them carry out the stuff?
