I am new here and have only posted twice in the revolver forum but I have heard of "national buy a gun day" and had to tell the world about someting like this. I do not know of the origins yet of this new holiday for the 2nd ammendment crowd. I am still googling to find more info on it . I think it may of started as a p*ss off a liberal -buy a gun type thing but I think for whatever reason we should buy a gun beacuse we can- for now anyway until the kook liberal anti-gun crowd whines more. Anyway I did my part- I bought two new Rugers today.

How about an annual "buy shootinstudent a gun" day? :)

Seriously though, I like the idea! I can turn my addiction into even more of a political statement.

I have to modify that to buy perception a gun day, but the idea is good. :D I would really love to buy a gun, but the mney just isnt there right now.

Don't feel bad Perception. We all have those times when we don't have the money for a gun. That is God's wisdom in action. If you always had plenty of money for a gun, you'd have guns that didn't mean much to you.

Use this time as God intended and spend it wisely to determine which gun you will buy when you DO have the money.

That's what most of us do here anyway. Don't worry about the finances, buy the gun and the checkbook will sort itself out in time!

things fluxuate and I bought two beacuse I may have something going on next year so I bought 2 this year in case next year is $$ sparse.

Later this week, our employer is having "bring your kid to work" day.
Suppose I could convince them to have a "bring your gun to work" day? :D

If funds are tight and a gun is just not doable, buy 100 rounds for a gun you currently own! Or buy a few magazines/speedloaders for a gun you already own.

I have had times where buying a gun a year was a stretch; back then, I would buy a box of ammo or a magazine as a substitute.

A buddy of mine works overtime to fun "the gun thing" (just a thought).
