I checked mostly looking for a barrel! Dont want to have to turn and chamber one if i can find one. I will probably get 1 in 9mm as well so i can change calibers if ammo gets scarce.

These guns are difficult to build. I have a parts kit sitting in my spare room right now as I ordered the kits when they were cheap ($49 plus shipping). I lack welding capability and don't have the extent of machining ability that I thought I would. So, mine has remained unfinished while I work on another project.

There are several hurdles to overcome: Creating a new receiver, modifying the FCG for semi-auto only fire, and (perhaps most difficult) machining the bolt to fire when closed instead of from an open-bolt configuration.

I was planning to build mine as an SBR, so I could only point you to the original length barrel. I have seen 16" barrels out there. I would point you towards Prexis, as well as Greg Clark from gunbuilds, as potential sources for more information.

I never got around to buying the original barrel. However, this is the one I was planning on buying from. http://www.clearviewinvest.com/cz2426originalsurplusbarrelwithassortedparts.aspx

I would also get their Armorer's Kit. They have it on sale now for $120. It includes 12 magazines, bolt, headspace gauges, and assorted spare parts. If I weren't limited on funds and committed to another build (CETME) I'd be buying one just to have. These parts won't be on the market forever, and I imagine they won't even be commonly available in a year or two http://www.clearviewinvest.com/czechcz2426armorerskit.aspx
