If you mean the single shot, break open gun, they are good inexpensive tools. If you need a truck gun or something to carry on the tractor and figure one shot will do then they are great. They do tend to kick and unless things have changed they seldom gain value with age. I used to take one deer hunting in case the deer weren't moving but the quail were.
