Thickness of Chip McCormick "slim carry" grips?

According to my Brownell's catalog...

...the McCormick Exhibition Grade rosewood grips are 4mm thick. Enough to make a big difference for me. They feel very nice. However, my set had this TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE dirty orange color. They were so bad I sent them back.

The same catalog lists the AFS Tech Slim-Tech grips to be 3.8mm thick. Haven't tried those yet.
 
When you order, you can ask for a general color of grip and they will try to fill your order as best they can. The nice thing about CMC slim grips is that they accept ambi safeties, while most of the others do not.
