They do this to torture me...

In a country that does seem that fond of revolvers (and perhaps because of that) I keep seeing wheel-guns I'd like to buy. Why do I never learn to just leave the used ads well alone?

Only today I say a 4" .357 S&W for sale and.... wait for it... a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Mag....

That last one was a beast I never expected to see over here. Quite curious how it even got here.

For a moment I found myself wondering if a 7.5" Blackhawk would make a better woods gun than my 4" Redhawk.

Only for a moment, though... I like my RH too much to part with it!

how are the gun laws across the Baltic?

Are you finnish or Estonian I forgot?

and btw I get your nick, Sega Megadrive forever:D

Are you finnish or Estonian I forgot?

Neither!! :p
But I live in Estonia

how are the gun laws across the Baltic?

OK, by most standards, I guess.

I can buy what I want, under .50 cal (rifles: DE .50 are OK) just no hollow points, no fully autos, no night-vision scopes, and funnily, no tazers...

But semi autos are fine, high-cap (ie standard cap) mags are fine, silencers and lasers are fine (if you are a sports shooter).

I can also carry concealed. The buying/selling side is pretty tightly controlled, but aside from that... not so bad in the grand scheme of things!!

On another point, I hate to admit this, but I don't know much about Segas apart from the fact my parents wouldn't buy me one... where's the connection?:o

Well, worse things to be guilty of. So, what do you carry as a woods gun? Problems in Estonia with Cranky Boars & Bears?

Well, I think you should grab that S&W as a special treat for your self and it would make a nice back up gun to the red hawk. Come to think of it that black hawk would make an excellent stay at home/always available gun. Just saying:)

I thought your nick was refering the old videogame character

Now that you mention it, we do look remarkably alike!! ;)

Yeah... for when I am made to sleep in the shed for buying yet more guns!!:p

"for when I am made to sleep in the shed for buying yet more guns!!"

But the privations make them all the more special!

The Czech Republic has similar handgun laws: not too nasty, hollowpoints are banned, carry is very possible ("shall issue" permit same as most US states).

I guess I'd carry full wadcutters loaded balls-out...

Interesting how a lot of the former eastern bloc countries seem to have a more "liberal" (as in free) set of gun legislation than a lot of EU countries huh?

ATB,

Scrummy

It is odd that you are banned from hollow-points, as I was taught that HP bullets statistically have a lower mortality rate and less collateral damage than solid rounds, albeit a higher "stopping power". (Solid rounds caused a faster bleed out 'cause they made two holes.)

That's awesome that you can have silencers though!
