I am just going to go ahead and be cynical and suggest that the ads are aimed at the demographic that thinks that Bush is a Nazi and that the Republican Party is a bunch of jack-booted thugs though.

Google "Bush is a Nazi" and "Hitler was a Nazi". As of now Bush gets about 671,000 results and Hitler gets about 854,000.

So the sad irony is that those ads are most likely intended to motivate viewers to vote for gun grabber candidates in November and not to provoke real thought at all.
 
Seriously, I have no idea what those ads are trying to say. I wouldn't put it past MTV to run them just for shock value.
MTV=Viacom (IIRC), and the last thing that a big, entrenched, corrupted company like Viacom wants to do is rock the boat.
