Thermold Magazines for the AR

Why aren't these magazines very popular? These still seem very readily availble even in the current market, I hear lots of people say they are comparable with the pmags. Is that true?

Anyone have experience with these? I have a guy locally selling the 20rds ones for $15 brand new and just looking for some opinions. Im in no rush to load up on these I have quite a few pmags on hand, just curious.

Ive got some 30 rounders that work fine. I believe as long as they are the Wilson, NC mags you're good to go.

I think theyre a great deal and were a smokin deal a few months back.Thermold haters are probably the types that will also diss Hi-Point as being junk even though theyve never actually held one let alone shot one.

Didn't the Israelis use them?
I'm not sure but if memory serves the Canadians did for a while back in the 90s. The early ones were rumored to fail from the heat generated from full auto fire but I doubt the OP is planning to go full rock and roll anytime soon and the formulation has probably changed in the last 15-20 years. I still have a couple of really old pre-ban Thermolds that I bought in the early 90s for my Mini that seem to work okay but I use them sparingly.

Bought a bunch of these in the last 20 years, and never had a problem with them.I think the lack of popularity is because they just don't look as nice as Pmags.

Well I picked up 6 of them for $100 bucks, seems like an alright deal...

I will have to go out and put them to the test as soon as .223 prices come down or I can find some reloading components for it!!:(

They've always been hit and miss for me over the years. I mean they wouldn't be my first choice, but if they were super cheap...I'd pick up a bunch.
