There has to be a down-side of the benili M3 !

Hi guys
So Recently I got a chance to fire A Benili M3 with the pump/semi feature .I thought it was great .Simply put why isn't there more talk about these ? Do they not solve the whole semi versus pump debate straight out ? How are they reliability wise ?

The design does provide the benefits of both action types, semi and pump, but it also will bring in the shortcomings of both as you will either be in one or the other setting.

Like the other inertia recoil systems (semi-autos), they are suseptable to getting bogged down as gun weight increases when add-ons like fully loaded side saddles, fully loaded speed feed stocks, lasers, lights, camera, action, etc. are attached to the gun when set on semi, but this is solved going to pump. When in pump, you will have the possiblity of short stroking and the need of two hands. The benefit of the intertia recoil is it does away with any issues with gas op guns.

As for the M3, it is pretty light, well balanced, and easy to handle. Very well made with even the sound of the pump action having, IMO, a higher quality to it. Action is very smooth and easy to manipulate in either action. Switching between the two is easy and fast.

The only other problem is the price.
 
I have both an 870 Wingmaster and Browning Auto 5.

I didn't know there was any "debate". I like both these guns, plus the side by side and o/u I also own. ;)
 
It's not a drawback. since she has the pump action. But for clays, she doesn't cycle the semi auto with 24grams (7/8oz) loads.
