The Worlds most expensive bullet

I saw this on another forum. I apologize if it has been posted.

They make bullets that are firable and dummy (decoration)

Solid gold bullet with saphire and diamond tips. $3000 a pop. They say not to carry handloads in your SD gun. What would the DA's office say about this ;)

BBQ gun meets BBQ ammo (meets guy with more $ than brains)

ouch, my barrel

maybe there's a market for bejeweled bullets, give my wifey a gluegun and some costume jewelry.and we could be rich

I think I would rather have Northwest Territorial Mint's Silver Bullet bullion. They have them in 9mm, 45 acp, 50 BMG, .308, 12 gauge and 20mm. A lot less expensive than that and easier to get out of if I need to. I don't own any, but I do think they are really cool.

I was wondering how long it would be before the Excalibur 155m/m would show up. As for waste of money it depends on how much collateral damage is acceptable or how many dumb round it would take to replace the one Excalibur smart one.

for a minute I was expecting you to show a pic of a .22lr round.

Beat me to it, Jerry. I was going to say that the second most expensive round is the 22 LR at open-air markets in Missouri.

Man if any of those diamonds touched the barrel while being fired, that would scratch the hell out of it!

For some reason, the cost of the Excalibur round doesn't shock....
But, I can't help getting the image of a conference just to come up with the name...
Power point presentations....
One holdout that wanted to call it The Katana .....

As far as the bejeweled bullet.... That needed and appearance in the zombie themed gun thread hahaha

While this may be true...
If someone would spend $3,000 on a single round, which is silly enough all on it's own, but then they'd DISCHARGE that round, which I cannot even conjure the words to comment with...

Does it matter what it would do to the barrel?
Assuming the firearm was worth $3,000 or less, I can't see how it actually matters. The whole thing is absurd to from the very conception.

I suppose the only logical scenario is that the shot fired is aimed directly at something that is extremely expensive all on it's own, which will (of course) be effectively destroyed upon impact.

Let's say you take that ridiculous $3,000 round and you fire it directly at a Tiffany lamp or a Picasso or a Rembrant. It almost seems to make more sense this way. And before ejecting your spent brass, maybe you light a stack of hundred dollar bills on fire and maybe even poke up the fire with a bottle of 50-year old Scotch.

Can we find more ridiculous bits to add to the whole display?

I guess the only thing that would make it more ridiculous would be to put that $3000.00 round into the engine block of some fancy sports car that I can't figure out how to spell...

Man that sure is a pretty bullet though. If silver bullets can take our werewolves I bet these could be used against shape-shifting Satan spawn super weredemons.

BTW for all you guys complaining about the price of .22 I've been seeing it go down lately at places like Wal-Mart. Availability is still an issue but I scored 600 round of CCI mini-mag RN today for a grand total of $48. Yeah that's pricey for .22 but it's CCI which is more expensive anyway, that store also gets in the Feder and Remy bulk pack now and then that go for much less per round, not more than a few dollars over pre-panic prices for them. Problem is is finding them, but with persistence it can be done.

Well, there is this:
This bullet is our ultimate offering yet. This is a 45 ACP bullet made from solid 14k white gold. Mounted in the hollowpoint is an amethyst surrounded by over 90 high quality diamonds. This bullet can not be made to fire since it is solid gold all the way through.
