The Worcester Telegram and Gazette

I strongly urge boycotting the Worcester (MA) Telegram and Gazette.

I am unable to fathom this newspaper's drooling, shrieking hatred of the simple right to self-defense and of firearms. The Telegram has printed (proudly) its insistance that use of a firearm in saving one's life from attack is never justified.
I am not making this up. They have editorialized that it is better for you to be murdered than to have the right to defend yourself with a firearm. Today's editorial cartoon shows a map of the U.S., covered in blood, with the caption, "The U.S. of N.R.A."

How does one get to the position of being the editor of the largest newspaper in the second largest city in the state and clearly be a hateful idiot? Can someone explain this to me?

I urge everyone not to buy this newspaper, nor any product advertised therein. Please inform your friends. I believe that only by putting this paper out of business will their hate speech be silenced. And as we know, hate speech is not allowed.

Woodit, understand first and foremost that almost all the media in this country, including the newspapers, are owned and controlled by the Marxist Socialists. They hate, loathe and despise the Constitutiona, the Bill of Rights, individual Rights, Freedom and Liberty.

They have for many years, sought the destruction of the Constitution and the institution of their Brave New Marxist Socialist Police State Utopia. They have demonized us gun owners for many years, turning us into "vermin" just as Hitler and Goebbles did to the Jews. What do you do with vermin?? Why, you exterminate them, of course!

Look at the masthead of your paper and see who owns it. Gannett; Chicago Trib. Synd., Cox; Knight-Ridder; L.A. Times Mirror Synd., Washington Post Synd; Time Warner Synd; New York Times Synd.,anything owned by Ted Turner, etc., etc. They are all owned and controlled by the Billionaire Bolsheviks, just as is 99.3% of Hollywood.

Don't expect anything but demonization from these communistnazis, because they'll NEVER, EVER disengage.

Remember this. They want each and every gun owner (excluding their heavily armed bodyguards) exterminated.

Do you have a URL for this or the editorial's title? I tried their website search engine but couldn't find anything on 'self-defense', 'firearm', etc.

Once I had their editorial, I could parse it and tear them a new one via the
"intellectual whores for the govt approach". That one seems to touch nerves as I've gotten replies.

I agree with Jay Baker. Only the smaller, independent papers have any guts left. Elko Daily Free Press and Sierra Times (both Nevada) come to mind. Actually, for a city paper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal is pretty good (they have Suprynowiscz).

No, I don't. But they have said this exactly as I claim.

woodit - not doubting your word, especially in a Massachusetts paper. What I was looking for was their editorial so I could dissect it line by line by quoting them.

In all seriousness, being a hateful idiot is an essential job requirement.

Remember,
1) Our enemies are sick, twisted sadists in the clinical sense of the term.
2) They are trying to drive everyone insane.
3) If you fit in, you need serious professional help because...
4) ... the lunatics have taken over the asylum.

You have to understand, this is Massachusetts and Massachusetts is controlled by liberals. Especially anti-gun liberals. The Springfield Union News and The Boston Globe are pretty much the same although the Globe has published a few articles critical of some anti-gun stands, especially the gun-suits being pursued by some states.

Rather than boycott the paper, I would suggest that you write a letter to the editor showing why they are wrong. We have a few people who do that here and are very effective in their letters.

FPrice, no i disagree. Boycotting The T&G is a good thing. It is a terrible newspaper in addition to being anti. It contains almost no national or world news and the local news is heavily opinionated. There are plenty of other sources for local news in the worcester county area.

Woodit, I feel your pain. I live in the Charlotte, NC area. A place where one frequently sees bubbas in pick ups sporting gun racks and hunting dogs. Charlotte itself is a metro area hoping to go to the big time. The charlotte Observer is as left wing a paper as you will find anywhere much left in the south. Leave the metro area and guns are not bad.

You do not have to marginalize your paper. They will do a fine job of taking themselves off the playing field.

Just enjoy the humor of their positions because the reality of what society really thinks can be found in gunshops.

You may certainly disagree if you wish, and your comments do make a good case for finding another paper. However, in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, you might have a difficult time finding a paper which has a pro-gun viewpoint.

BTW, I did check the paper's website and could not find an anti-gun editorial.
