My thread was closed. I really do not understand why, as a Wally Walk is quite a frequent topic on this board. Personally I am not pleased with WalMart's action on this and will not be referring new CCW folks to the Wally Walk. I was really wondering if an alternative could be adopted by the group for that 'Right of passage', and buying some WWB ammo there. Any ideas ? Maybe Sportsman Warehouse could become the 'Sporty Walk'.

Walmart said late Wednesday it is suspending membership in the American Legislative Council (ALEC), which the retailer joined in 1993.

ALEC sparked controversy recently because of its involvement in voting laws and in "stand your ground" gun laws, including the one under scrutiny in the Florida killing of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February.

If you read the rules, you'd know why.

The words "firearms related" would figure large. This isn't a law and civil rights issue (in which case it would have been in the wrong forum). It isn't a firearm issue- conservatives generally like guns, but not all gun folk are conservative. The two intersect generally, but are not completely parallel.

Therefore, when the mod said it was off topic, that was very much the case.
